About Active CC Boxes

In 1999, a team of experts in the fields of thermal science, mechanical engineering, container design, logistics management, health science, pharmaceutical clinical research and specialty foods operations joined forces to form Kodiak.

Recognizing the cumbersome limitations of corrugated boxes lined with Styrofoam or urethane insulation and filled with dry ice or frozen gel packs, the team undertook to revolutionize the industry by applying new technology and pooling their knowledge and resources.

The result was the Kodiak™ Active Temperature Control Shipping Container.  This container is more efficient, cost-effective and environmentally friendly than anything else on the market. In 2002, Kodiak’s container received both the DuPont Gold Award for packaging innovations on the international stage and the R&D100 Award recognizing the 100 most technologically significant products of 2002.

Unfortunately, due to internal disagreements and internal legal disputes, Kodiak Thermal Technologies, Inc. was not able to capitalize on these cutting edge inventions.

In May 2010, Active CC Boxes, LLC purchased the assets of Kodiak Thermal Technologies, Inc. and resumed operations in the same plant building with the same management staff that was producing Kodiak™ containers prior to the reorganization.

Active CC Boxes, LLC is headquartered in Kingsville, TX about 40 miles south west of Corpus Christi, Texas. Our production facility integrates both extensive training and quality assurance programs to meet the demands of cold chain shipping container production and our customer’s expectations.
