Cold Chain Logistics

Cold chain logistics is a vital link in the “cold-chain”. Kodiak Thermal Technologies, Inc. has documented a live shipment containing a full payload from Detroit, Michigan to Costa Rica. Ambient and internal temperatures were monitored and recorded over a three day period under the following conditions:

  1. Transit on a truck
  2. Transit on a plane
  3. Sitting in customs
  4. Placed in a cooler
  5. Transit on a truck again
  6. Arrived at destination
  7. Shipment opened

The ambient temperature fluctuated and showed spikes at numerous points, while the internal temperature stayed well within the 2°C to 8°C range for the entire duration of the shipment. The Kodiak cold chain shipping containers meet and exceed the current industry standards.

To find out how your time-sensitive or temperature-critical shipments can benefit from the Kodiak line of cold chain shipping containers, contact Harry Smith, VP of Sales and Marketing at (713) 686-1553 ext. 15 or email hsmith@kodiaktech.com

Kodiak Advantages: Tamper Evident Locking System

Value Point #5 Tamper Evident Latches

The Kodiak R36 cold chain shipping container employs is its tamper evident locking system. The same latches that enable the opening and closing of the lids are also designed to accommodate numerous types of tamper evident latches. Kodiak uses Healthmark Industries Cynch-Lok pull tight locks. When this or a similar type of tamper evident lock is used with the Kodiak R36 container, this will give you the assurance and peace of mind of knowing that your payload has not been opened and tampered with. With heightened security concerns, this is an added feature that ensures your valuable cargo has not been compromised. This also prevents unintentional opening of the container which disturbs the internal temperature, which  in turn could affect the integrity of the payload. With the tamper evident locking system in place, this alerts logistics and warehouse personnel that this particular shipment should not be opened until it reaches its intended end user.

All Kodiak cold chain shipping containers provide added value in many ways. To discuss the endless possibilities and how they relate to you, please contact Harry Smith, VP of Sales and Marketing at (713) 686-1553 ext 15. To request a Sales Packet, email your request to Sales@kodiaktech.com
