Cold Chain Logistics Cold chain logistics is a vital link in the “cold-chain”. Kodiak Thermal Technologies, Inc. has documented a *live* shipment containing a full payload from Detroit, Michigan to Costa Rica. Ambient and internal temperatures were monitored and recorded over a three day period under the following conditions: Transit on a truck Transit on a plane Sitting in customs Placed in a cooler Transit on a truck again Arrived at destination Shipment opened The ambient temperature fluctuated and showed spikes at numerous points, while the internal temperature stayed well within the 2°C to 8°C range for the entire duration of the shipment. The same latches that enable the opening and closing of the lids are also designed to accommodate numerous types of tamper evident latches. Kodiak uses Healthmark Industries Cynch-Lok pull tight locks. When this or a similar type of tamper evident lock is used with the Kodiak R36 container, this will give you the assurance and peace of mind of knowing that your payload has not been opened and tampered with.
