State of Texas Pharmacy Branch Chooses Kodiak

The State of Texas, Dept. of Health Services, Pharmacy Branch has chosen the Kodiak R36 shipping container for transport of pharmacy related products needing temperature sensitive protection.  The decision in Nov. 2005 to purchase the R36 was made after actual internal department testing and validation of the containers performance and data logger retrieval.

Kodiak Thermal Technologies manufacturers and distributes across many of the cold chain shipping sectors including pharmaceutical, adhesive and food industries.  Kodiak containers are focused on the benefit of active temperature control without power, a minimum five day hold time, on-board temperature logging and monitoring and overall is a cold chain shipping system in one complete unit.

Current and future products serve the 2-8 Celsius, minus -10 C frozen and minus -55 C deep freeze requirements and will be available in both a 36 liter, 14 liter containers  and custom development projects upon request.

Kodiak’s overall mission is to provide “Cold Chain” shipping container solutions that provide reliability, safety, protection and cost efficiencies for those temperature sensitive products where compromise is not an option.

Cold Chain Challenges

The Cold Chain sector continues to get important press that impacts the manufacturer and distribution of pharmaceuticals and other health care products affected by temperature variations.  As a result, many of these products become relatively unstable, combining biological and other components that become inactive or contaminated if improperly handled.  Careful handling of temperature sensitive products is critical and the task of transporting these products from vaccines, to pharmaceuticals to bio-pharmaceuticals is receiving an ever increasing amount of attention throughout the industry and governmental agencies.  Insuring and maintaining the integrity of all temperature sensitive products from manufacturing to end user delivery is an ultimate quest and compromise is no longer an accepted norm.  Higher Product Value, Higher Stakes and Consumer Product Safety is leading to a mastering of the challenges of Temperature-Sensitive Distribution in the Cold Chain Supply.
